Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your LokFeed account and the personal data associated with it at any time, by either of the methods below.
How to delete your account
- In-app: open the LokFeed app, sign in, and navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Confirm the prompt to initiate deletion immediately.
- By email: if you cannot access the app, send a deletion request from the email address registered to your account to support@lokfeed.in with the subject line “Account deletion request”. Requests are actioned within 30 days of receipt.
Deleting individual content without closing your account
You do not need to delete your account to remove specific content you have posted. From within the LokFeed app you can:
- Delete individual issues, posts, comments, and private messages you have authored.
- Edit or clear your profile fields, including display name and profile photo.
- Remove media (photos and videos) attached to issues you created.
For any other partial-deletion request that cannot be carried out in-app, email support@lokfeed.in with the subject line “Data deletion request” and a description of the data you want removed. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
On account closure, the following are removed from active systems within a reasonable period:
- Profile information: display name, username, date of birth, profile photo.
- Content you authored: issue reports, posts, comments, and private messages.
- Engagement records: likes, bookmarks, follows, and flags you submitted.
- Uploaded media: photos and videos.
- Authentication identifiers associated with your account, including any linked Sign in with Apple or Google identifiers.
Data that may be retained
Limited records may be retained where retention is required to comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce the LokFeed Terms of Service. Such retained records are kept only for the period and purpose required, and are otherwise inaccessible from the platform.
